I’m a visual artist turned cosmetologist guiding women to freedom and delight with their hair through precision cuts & bespoke color.
My specialty is precision curly cuts done in the natural state and creative, low maintenance color in the red + brunette family.
I create lines, shapes, forms, and low maintenance saturated hues with ALL hair.
My people are fearless artists, lawyers, doctors, professors, and entrepreneurs who feel free to rock their hair, their way. They allow me to fuse my Art School intensity and 18 years behind the chair experience to create fly cuts + amazing color to create bomb ass natural hair.

Education
If you are a consumer seeking an appointment to learn about your hair, this is the only service I will teach the how, when, and why of your unique hair. All the services above we will be having a silent appointment or conversations about books, movies, life, kids, politics, and popular culture. I will ignore and redirect ALL questions about curl types unless we have the three hours this service is reserved for. If you are a professional seeking education please head over to Cut It Kinky. I don’t collect deposits. Your appointment is secured after I have approved your appointment request in the system.

In the case you need to cancel your appointment, please return to your booking text or email and self-cancel in the online portal at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.
If due to illness or emergency you need to cancel within that timeframe please shoot me a text through the system to let me know. I understand things happen, please don’t have me over here worried about you if you can.

A No Text/No Show is someone who does not reach out to cancel their appointment.
I do not penalize for these. If you have had a genuine emergency please contact me within the week to let me know what happened.
Without contact you will be placed on the banned clients list and not allowed to book again. I’m an Aquarius, my ability to hold grudges is legendary.

Children are awesome and I have 2 high density long hair kids under the age of 10. That being said unfortunately I do not service children under the age of 16.

Your hair DOES NOT have to be cleansed, conditioned, or styled before you show up. All services (other than the cut only appointments some of my clients have graduated to) include cleansing, conditioning, and detangling
For braid and alternative style folks, please remove all artificial hair, thread, and glue prior to arrival.
While I do not have a detangling fee, I do have a separate Matting service for out of the ordinary detangling. This is usually for folks who have gone 4+ weeks without care and is determined on a case by case basis.

The Matting service for out of the ordinary detangling. This is usually for folks who have gone 4+ weeks without care and/or have large areas of their hair that has fused together unintentionally. This service is priced at $150/hour and charged in 15 minute increments. Necessity for this service will be determined on a case by case basis.

You are not obligated to be featured on my website or social media
I will take photos for documentation of your appointment that will live in your profile. This is to document your progress and provide evidence of the service completed.
If you are comfortable being featured on my public facing accounts I will have you sign a media release covering use and application during your first appointment.
You are fully empowered to revoke that permission at any time.

I’m not going to always get it right the first time. If at the end of the appointment you are not satisfied, please speak up. I intentionally ask “is there anything you’d like for me to change” to open the floor for correction. This is your time.
It is my ultimate goal to absolutely wow you with your hair. At the beginning of each appointment I set realistic expectations of the outcome based on the condition of the hair brought in, my abilities and limitations, along with lifestyle/climate considerations.
If it feels too hard to speak up in the moment, I understand. Please send a text within 24 hours after your appointment to express your sentiments. I will work to get you back on the schedule for remedy.
After 24 hours I still welcome your feedback but any remedy will need to be done within another paid appointment.
